Meet the well qualified and dedicated officers working to keep Miami safe. We only accept the best in order to keep the city safe, and in addition to their morals and work ethic, all of our officers graduated at the top of their class from the Miami Police Academy. Created in 1945, this law enforcement training program has a long and distinguished history which specializes in molding well rounded officers who are experts at all experts of law enforcement procedures. These officers exemplify the interconnectedness of our prestigious police department. They take advantage of their distinct personalities and specialties, constantly working together to keep you, the citizens of Miami, safe.
Captain Thomas Matthews has been working at Miami Metro Police Department for nearly four decades, during which time he steadily rose through the ranks as a result of his unparalleled dedication, hard work, and sound morals and ethics. He worked on the field, solving countless cases for years before he was promoted to Captain. He leads by example rather than empty words, and is highly revered by the officers under his command for his firm, yet kind nature.

Lt. Maria LaGuerta is a woman who knows politics as well as she does law enforcement, Maria LaGuerta has risen through the ranks quickly since she first started in Miami Metro. She is currently Lieutenant of Miami Metro Homicide, and has led and supervised many investigations, including the one on the Ice Truck Killer. LaGuerta is well respected as a tough, determined woman. |
Sgt. James Doakes has been working as a detective for over a decade. Known for being a strict leader who keeps his officers on task, he is often delegated the task of supervising cases. His keen instinct and strong work ethic has allowed him many cases and put countless criminals behind bars, and that, along with his tough demeanor, makes him a man to be respected by his peers and feared by his enemies. |
Det. Angel Batista is in the Homicide Division. Batista has been working with Miami Metro Police for over a decade. Throughout his time here, he has worked closely with blood spatter analyst Dexter Morgan to bring in dozens of criminals. Beneath this tough exterior is a kind and honest man who strives to bring justice to those who deserve it, and is well loved and respected by his peers for this attitude. |
Detective Steve "Mack" McNamara has almost twenty years of experience with Miami Metro Police Department. He has been praised for his fearless approach to seeking justice by his peers. McNamara earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice at the Louisiana State University but moved back to Miami to be closer to family. His partner was the late Detective Ricky Simmons, who also happened to be his brother-in-law. Simmons is loved and missed by the entire department.

Officer Debra Morgan is the daughter of the late Detective Harry Morgan. A rising star with incredible intuition, she was recently promoted to becoming a Homicide Detective after spending three years in patrol and two years in Vice. She has been an integral part of many cases, including the Ice Truck Killer Investigation, where her initiative and instincts led to the capture of this killer. |
Det. Dan "Red" Feldman has been with Miami Metro Police for five years. He transferred after a long career with Miami-Dade County Sheriff's Department. Here at Miami Metro, he works closely with Detective Sue. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice back in 1979 at Augusta State University in Georgia.

Vince Masuka is the lead forensics investigator with Miami Metro Police Department. He majored in forensic sciences at Florida State University, and soon after assumed his role at the station, where he has worked for the past twelve years. Masuka works closely alongside blood spatter analyst Dexter Morgan- each of them analyze the aftermath of crime scenes in order to determine key aspects of investigations.

Dexter Morgan is the adopted son of the late Detective Harry Morgan. He works as a forensic blood spatter analyst, where his knowledge of blood patterns and his uncanny ability to read the attacker's emotions from these patterns makes him one of the best. He has aided field officers in bringing in dozens of criminals since he started working at Miami Metro in 2001. |
